Sony is going to really push new technologies with their 3D gaming and their motion controller in 2010. Sony’s 3D-enabled Bravia HDTVs will also hit the market in summer 2010.
Polyphony Digital was waiting for Sony to give the green light. Do you remember when Yamauchi said the game was all ready to go and they could “release it whenever they wished.

3D Games and Graphics on Android So Far
For the longest time, the vast majority of games available on mobile phones were as basic as can be. With only two dimensional, low bit graphics, they were sometimes not even playable or enjoyable. These limits were usually set due to the small processing power available on a mobile phone. Even though phones have seen a fair amount of technological advances, often the phones would be limited to two dimensional graphics, limiting their appeal more than a few times. The Google Android in particular did not see enough of an advance in technology until recently. Now a few three dimensional games are beginning to pop up that can be played on the Android, which is a great breakthrough for the mobile gamer who just needed to have Google’s phone.

Conclusions Modern Warfare 2 PRESTIGE – CNet review
“While it can be overwhelming at times, the online multiplayer experience in Modern Warfare 2 is simply in a class by itself. The $60 price tag would be well spent on this mode alone, but there also happens to be a thrilling triple-A single player campaign packed in as well.”
“Thanks to Hollywood-level production values, breakneck pacing, and great controls that just “feel” right, even in the very crowded first-person shooter genre, Modern Warfare 2 stands out as a best-of-breed.”

Is this a solution for the fight against product piracy.
‘Trials 2’ is the name of the game created by RedLynx. It looks like resignation that The Game Developper put their ‘hacked’ copies on various BitTorrent sites also Torrentfreak reports that RedLynx
“… has no way of knowing whether the free marketing on torrent sites has paid off. Thus far RedLynx has sold almost 150,000 copies of the game, but unlike the CEO claims, it is also available on torrent sites in a version where the leaderboard functionality is hacked.”
No chance against product piracy
This is not only a good way of promoting aproduct, it is also a very cheap way by giving away a demo version for free download via bittorrent.
What do you think about this scenario?
The game companies give away their games for free via Bittorrent. The money for deveolopment and Marketing will come from selling, additional software, tools, hacks, merchandising, etc.

1998 saw the releases of Metal Gear Solid, Tenchu: Stealth Assassins and Thief: The Dark Project, three games which revolutionised the stealth genre, laying the foundations for all future stealth releases. Prior to 1998, we had 2D stealth games like Castle Wolfenstein and Metal Gear, which due to technical constraints, could never match up to more recent 3D titles, despite being highly imaginative.
The stealth genre has spawned relatively few releases. Slow-burning, tactical games, in which players must avoid confrontation rather than actively seeking it out, are certainly not to everyone’s taste. However, the genre can lay claim to some of the best games ever released, most notable among them those of the Metal Gear Solid and Splinter Cell series.
Choosing which games to include in this list wasn’t difficult, choosing in which order they deserve to appear was decidedly more tricky. But here goes!
1. Metal Gear Solid

When it comes to stealth games, you’re either a Metal Gear Solid or Splinter Cell fan, there’s really very little middle ground on the issue! Fans of Metal Gear Solid point to its superior gameplay, characterisation and storylines; while others argue that super-realistic graphics and tactical gameplay make Splinter Cell the greatest stealth game ever released.
For me, Metal Gear Solid is the original and still the best. Released on the PlayStation in 1998, it popularised the stealth genre, setting the standard for… Read the rest
