Google and LG set to reveal Android 4.2 in November

According to recent rumors, Google is set to officially reveal Android 4.2 in November. The event will be co-hosted with LG as the company will also reveal the LG Optimus G Nexus running the latest Android OS.

What You Need To Know:

  • Rumors suggest that the Android 4.2 features minor updates from Android 4.1. The changes include better power management and an enhanced Google Play Store. The UI from Jelly Bean will be retained, but the homescreen will be shown as tabs.
  • There’s a bit of confusion on the name of the latest Android OS. Since it only features minor changes, some sources said that the update will still called as Jelly Bean. Other sources also suggested that Android 4.2 will be dubbed as Key Lime Pie.
  • The LG Optimus G Nexus will have the same hardware as the LG Optimus G. The main differences between the two phones are the OS and the rounded edges of the Optimus G Nexus.
