LG Optimus Vu to be released worldwide in September

LG recently announced that its latest phone, the gigantic Optimus Vu, will be available worldwide starting in September. Viewed as the phone that “blurs the line between traditional tablets and smartphones,” the Optimus Vu is currently available in Japan and South Korea. Since its debut last March, LG revealed that 500,000 units are already sold.

What You Need To Know:

  • The LG Vu runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It has 5-inch screen display with an odd 4:3 aspect ratio.
  • The phone runs on a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor. It also has an 8MP rear-facing camera and a 1.3MP front-facing camera.
  • Starting on September, the Optimus Vu will be available in Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia and Latin America. It will also hit the U.S. within the quarter.
