Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro dev tablet now available for $1,299
Today, Qualcomm steps into the quad-core arena with the launch of its new Snapdragon S4 APQ8064 chip in its own Snapdragon S4 Pro 10-inch tablet. This puts Qualcomm in the same breadth with direct contender Nvidia which was first to launch quad-core chip with its Tegra 3 processor.
What You Need To Know:
- The Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro tablet is packed with a quad-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 SoC and Adreno 320 GPU. It also has a 10.1-inch display WXGA multi-touch display, 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and 2GB RAM. It will be shipped with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich.
- Qualcomm’s tablet easily topped benchmark charts, dominating over the likes of Acer Iconia Tab, ASUS Transformer Tab, Galaxy S III and others.
- With its great power, comes with a hefty price tag. The Snapdragon S4 Pro is now available for $1.299 at Bsquare’s website.
- Also known as Mobile Development Platform (MDP), the Qualcomm tablet is intended for developers.
