U.S. Cellular launches 2 new Motorola smartphones

U.S. Cellular is looking to improve its smartphone lineup. Available starting today are two new Motorola devices, the Motorola Electrify 2 and Defy XT. The Electify 2 is a sequel to the Motorola Photon 4G which was released last year. The Defy XT is known for its rugged design. U.S. Cellular is the second mobile carrier that offers the Defy XT into the U.S.

What You Need To Know:

  • The Motorola Electrify 2 runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It has a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch ColorBoost display and 8MP rear camera.
  • The Motorola Defy XT runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It has a 1 GHz processor, 3.7-inch display and 5MP rear camera.
  • The Electrify 2 is available for $199 with a two-year contract, after a $100 mail-in-rebate. The Defy XT is available for $99 also after a rebate.
