Without the usual lavish media event or any PR initiatives, Sprint quietly launched the ZTE Flash on its online store. Priced as a mid-range phone, its hardware is worth a second look.

- The ZTE Flash packs a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor and 1GB of RAM. It also has a 4.5-inch 720p HD display and a “best in class” 12.6MP camera with LED flash.
- The phone runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
- Additional features include NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and microSD expansion slot.
- The phone cost $129.99 on a new contract with a $50 mail-in rebate.
